Hidden Hopes (1980)

Inside and outside views of the 'Anne Frank House' in Amsterdam.

In the centre rectangle an open door with bookcase shows stairs leading to the Frank's flat. The left side of the painting shows Anne's bedroom wall, with pictures and photographs, leading to the window in the central part of the painting. This looks out to the garden with the trees. The back view of the house is shown with shadows painted over the grass symbolizing a creeping, malevolent, destiny.
